Segra International to Launch 2nd Plant Tissue Culture Lab Program in California

VANCOUVER, BC (October 28, 2021) - Segra International Corp., an agriculture technology company, is pleased to announce its 2nd strategic "Satellite Lab" partnership in California with a "Top 5" greenhouse producer ("the producer").

Under the terms of Segra's Satellite Lab program, the company will provide strategic lab design and management services to develop a state-of-the-art plant tissue culture program on-site at the producer's facility, one of California's largest and most reputable licensed greenhouse operations.

Once complete, the lab will have the capacity to regenerate and prepare numerous high-value cultivars for production. Construction is currently underway, with operations planned to commence in December.

"This collaboration represents Segra's second partnership in California, said Jamie Blundell, Segra's Chief Executive Officer. We continue to see strong interest in our "Satellite Lab" programs, where large-scale US producers can take full advantage of our suite of technologies and expertise under bespoke partnership agreements. Segra's tissue culture processes, pathogen detection tests, and quality control systems represent the emerging gold standard for modern Cannabis nursery operations. With the pathogen management challenges virtually all large-scale Cannabis producers are currently facing, having continuous access to standardized, clean stock young plants represents an enormous competitive advantage for Satellite Lab program participants."
